Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame pays tribute to Waterbury native Rosalind Russell, the legendary award-winning actress of stage and screen.  Russell began acting on the New York stage before becoming a supporting actress for MGM.  In a career  marked by success in many genres, it was her comedic talent that propelled her to stardom. Her role as Sylvia Fowler in the film version of Clare Boothe Luce’s novel The Women is widely considered to be her breakout performance.
