Despite the exodus to the suburbs, Connecticut’s cities still retain their vitality and diversity. The Park Street Festival is an annual Puerto Rican celebration held in the heart of Hartford‘s Puerto Rican community on Park Street. The festival is a celebration of music, food, and culture. These immigrants from Puerto Rico in the later 20th century help to make our state one of the most diverse in the nation.
